The three continents are South America, Africa and Europe. The first game of the 2030 FIFA world Cup would be played in Uruguay precisely at the Estadio centenario, and the second and third would be played in Argentina and Paraguay.
The remaining games would then be played in the three host country, with the final scheduled to be played in Spain at the iconic Estadio de Bernabeu, the home of the 13 times Uefa Champions League winners.
Why the 2030 FIFA World Cup Logo and the competition are very Iconic
The 2030 FIFA world Cup logo has the inscription “Yalla Vamos 2030,” meaning “let’s go” in Arabic and Spanish. It captures the essence of unity and excitement for the upcoming event.
The 2030 fifa world Cup marks 100 years since the start of the competition in Uruguay. The south America country was awarded the opportunity to host the inaugural ceremony of the competition as they were celebrating their 100 years of independence.
They would pay back FIFA’s generosity by becoming the first ever World Cup Champions, defeating Argentina 4–2 in the final. The tournament was somewhat bizarre in that the US (not a traditional football nation) came 3rd.
Only 13 teams competed in competition held in Montevideo, the Capital of Uruguay, and it included a relatively large South American contingent (7 teams) and a small number of European participants (4 nations).
The groups were somewhat lopsided. Three of the four contained three teams. Group A had four countries. Guillermo Stábile, the brilliant Argentine won the tournament Golden Boot with 8 goals in 5 games.
Majority of the games including the final were played at the heart of Montevideo in the Estadio centenario, which was built purposely for the competition and also served as the commemoration of the celebration of the country’s centenary of independence.
Now celebrating hundred years of this iconic competition, FIFA has decided to award the competition to three different countries and ensure that the competition kicks start at where it all began.
