After the game with Freiburg where the Hammers handled the Germans a 5-goal nailing, Kudus opened up to the media on his celebration.

According to the Star Boy, “I wanted to do something out of the box because most celebrations are pretty normal, sliding and stuff. I wanted to add more meaning to my scoring. ‘It’s all about sitting down, resting after scoring a goal, but literally, there’s no deeper meaning than that”. He told Times after the game.

Meanwhile, about one of his iconic celebrations where he sits on the commercial board, Kudus said, the celebration doesn’t mean anything. It has no message and, he is just sitting down to take a deep breath due to tiredness.

Mohammed Kudus’ stool celebration has also brought debate among Ghanaian football lovers and Ghana Tourism as to whether to make a special Ghanaian stool for the footballer for his future celebrations as a way of putting Ghana on the map.

In another development, Kudus has revealed to The Times News that he may start taxing people copying his celebrations.

Per Kudus, he didn’t intend to set a trend but rather enjoyed football and taking a rest after scoring a beautiful goal, however, if that is becoming a trend for his colleagues such as Garnacho and Victor Boniface, then he’ll request a share of their pay anytime they copy him. He jokingly told Times.

Mohammed Kudus’ stool celebration has since taken over the internet with both young and old making it a trend.
